THY WORD IS TRUTH

Art Ellison Jr. / BIO

Art Ellison Jr. is an evangelist and author, having led many to MESSIAH YESHUA / JESUS CHRIST over the past 19 years, beginning at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, when THE LORD told him to go witness to the masses of people from all over the world.   Art received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from The College of Charleston, SC and became a management recruiter in 1980, working in that capacity for over twenty years.  From 1982 to 1994, he became co-founder and Associate Editor of the Actuarial Digest, a national technical trade journal which serves actuaries, and was recently the topic of conversation at a nationally televised White House press conference.  Art is also co-founder of the International Association of Black Actuaries (I.A.B.A.), a mentoring organization that sharpens the skills of both minority and majority actuarial professionals.  For the past ten years or so, he has worked in various sales positions and, most recently, in the transportation industry.

On July 25, 2014, Art, his two daughters, Gabrielle (Gabby), 21, and Genevieve (Gabby), 19, both high school valedictorians, experienced the greatest loss imaginable, the passing of his wife of 25 years, and his daughters’ mother, Norma C. Ellison.  She left behind a wonderful legacy of GOD’S faithfulness in her life.  A resources teacher at a Christian school for 13 years, Norma and Art were a team in winning souls for THE LORD through their gospel tract ministry.  Art and his family have attended Congregation Beth Hallel, a Messianic Jewish synagogue, in Roswell, GA for many years.  They were subjected to persecution in 1999 from the City of Marietta when the city demanded that the Ellisons shut down their Friday night prayer meeting in their home (10pm-6am).

Matt Staver of the LIBERTY COUNCIL defended the Ellisons by sending a letter to the City of Marietta, informing them of the Ellisons’ Constitutional rights to conduct a prayer meeting in their home.  The city responded with an apology letter to the Ellisons.  Their story received national radio coverage through the Associated Press (AP).

The New York Times Bestseller book PERSECUTION by David Limbaugh (2003) dedicated a paragraph to the Ellisons, found on page 209.

Art’s new books A CROSS IN THE PSALMS and THE WITNESS will certainly enhance your witnessing skills as you share your faith with others.
